Shrines and temples of Kamakura

During my trip to Japan I found famous tourist spots a bit disappointing, comparing to more remote places in that country. So I did not expect much from our visit to Kamakura, very popular tourist destination very close to Tokio. But in fact Kamakura was a very pleasant surprise. I spent only few hours there and feel that it was definitely too short. In this short time I managed to visit Daibutsu (Great Buddha) Monument, Hase-Dera temple and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine (the most important shrine for Shinto) and I liked those places very much. I wish I could spend at least one full day there.
