Hitchhiking across Wyoming
by Jorge Sanchez - 4 years, 1 month ago
I have crossed three times Wyoming. The first time was in August 1983, when I took a Greyhound bus from Salt Lake City to Cheyenne and further to New York, only stopping in Cheyenne for a short time to have lunch, and could not see much of the city. Then a few months later (in May 1984) I traveled hitchhiking from Boston to Cheyenne and headed south, to Denver in Colorado. At that time I could visit the city of Cheyenne for a short time while crossing the town on foot to find the exit to the highroad number 25.
And finally, I crossed again Wyoming State, this time through the north, in May 2008, when I boarded a bus in Rapid City, in South Dakota, to Billings in Montana.
In none of the three occasions I had enough money to visit Yellowstone National Park. Perhaps I will visit it in the future, in a fourth opportunity…?
