The train journey from Kigoma to Dodoma
by Jorge Sanchez - 3 years, 12 months ago
When I finished my visit to the Lake Tanganika and to Ujiji, I boarded again the train from Kigoma to Dar el Salaam, but this time I would stop in Dodoma, Tanzania capital, where I arrived 24 hours later.
I did not find interesting that city in spite of being the country national capital. It was founded at the beginning of the XX century by the Germans, but it lacked charisma. My stop there was merely to head to the Kilimanjaro Mountain via Arusha, so saving time.
In the evening I found accommodation in the Sikh Temple.
At down I woke up, had a cup of tea, thanked the gentle monks for their kind hospitality and walked to the bus station. A few hours later I boarded a bus to Arusha, to where I would arrive 24 hours later.
