It is fairly widely accepted that Antigua has the most crisp, clean and pristine beaches in the Caribbean. And even for a non-beach person like myself, I can attest that they were indeed beautiful, even though the waters seemed a little rougher than on some of the other islands. We arrived with a cruise ship, and quite frankly, the infrastructure and the towns are nothing to be mentioned, they serve their purpose but are otherwise bland and boring. People come here for the water, and that is good enough. We spent a couple of hours on the beach, did some sun bathing and some swimming, and then left.
