My Favorite Place

After ninety countries and hundreds of different cities, Utah is still my favorite place in the world and I cannot imagine living anywhere else. Even disregarding all the social and economic advantages of the state, Utah is a virtual treasure chest of endless beautiful outdoor activities for all season. Four national parks, several deserts, two sub-ranges of the Rocky Mountains, several major rivers, salt flats, forests (both leaves and conifers), a metro area with close to two million people and over a dozen ski resorts within an hour of it, and elevations ranging from the low 3000s to the high 13000s Utah has everything. After having been for about ten years I still haven’t explored every corner and I still find hidden sweet spots. Some of the highlights of the state that really should not be missed include the Moab area with the two parks, the Wasatch Range with all the ski resorts and of course some high altitude summer hikes. The SLC foothills offer some of the best bicycling opportunities in the country, and not too far away you have the Bonneville speedway in the west desert where multiple land speed records have been broken. Come visit us, you will love it.
