by Argyro Geortseki - 5 years, 5 months ago

Mountain Voras is a mountain in the border between Greece and Republic of Macedonia. Its highest peak is 2,524 metres. The first time I visited this place I was captured by the view of the cities that you can see from the mountain(Lake of Vegoritida, Kozani city and Ptolemaida City) and the spectacular traditional houses that were build in order to offer hospitality to the visitors in the village Agios Athanasios. The architecture of all the buildings is based on stone, marble and wood. Every hotel can offer a splendid variety of greek and international cuisine, greek and international wines and traditional Greek desserts. For people who love winter sports you can try ski and snowboarding and other sports to try. There are markets where you can buy traditional marmalades, desserts, honey, wine and other local drinks, fruits, decorative things, clothes, shoes and hats.
