Negoiu Chalet/Fagaras Mountains

I'm pleased to tell you the story of discovering a new place and new friends, an emotion I like to try all the time. I love the mountain in a very special way, it gives me a very powerfull energy. I go in the mountains very often, mostly with expats living in Bucharest, my second hometown. It's a great combination: enjoying the mountain, meeting new people and discovering the places they are coming from. We left Bucharest Saturday in the morning, at 5 am and we returnd Sunday evening, around 9 pm. The main points of the itinerary were: Porumbacu de Sus-Negoiu Chalet-Serbota Peak-Serbota Waterfall. The only way to reach to the chalet is walking through the forest around 3 hours. We started our trail and enjoyed the changing of the seasons game: our first steps were welcomed by autumn leaves-bird songs-small rivers-lovely temperature atmosphere and we got on the chalet peak surrounded by iced grounds, snow and white peaks all around, a magical winter landscape. The chalet welcomed us with hot soup, rum tea and the warm of the old stove. The first day we followed a trail leading close to Negoiu peak, the second one, another trail to Serbota Peak. Our sight was enchanted by beautiful landscapes and very interesting trails. I'll let the pictures to speak about it.
