Jablonec nad Nisou - little treasure in the mountains

When I was younger I didn’t appreciate my city as I should have. Now, when I have travelled and lived in other countries/cities I have to say that I am so happy I was born in Jablonec nad Nisou.
I mean, where else you can find so many things to do!
Almost every child here has a bike and skis because we live in the mountains and whenever we can we use the opportunity to go there. The best part of the city is the dam almost in the city centre. We use it all the year. When I don’t know what to do in summer I don't have to think too long. It is sure I will find my friends there swimming, playing volleyball or just drinking beers. In winter the surface is frozen so we use it to train our ice-skating skills or play hockey.
As a fan of hip hop culture I am very happy here. Walking around the town I can see graffiti on walls and at night I can choose to go to “Woko”or “Eppl” where is on program be a hip hop, d’n’b or house party. For the ones who prefer rock or other kind of music styles we have a bar called “Na Rampě“ where are the best concerts, travel presentations, workshops, table football etc.
If you are hungry I recommend to try my favorite restaurant called “Franko”. It is a pizzeria whose owner is from Italy. There is a big pizza competition in town so you can try them all and find your most favorite one. If you need something quick grab a slice of pizza, hamburger or Czech hot dog “párek v rohlíku“. After midnight you can find few kebab places selling delicious food as well.
If it really happens that you get bored then don’t worry, you can take a bus and in 30 min you are in the mountains where you can bike, hike or ski. If you prefer the city life then take a tram to Liberec where you can visit famous view tower Ještěd and spend all day in Babylon with fun park, Aqua Park, lunapark, IQ park etc. Prague is only 1h far and the bus goes almost every hour and costs around 5 euros round trip. I think you cannot find a better place with better connection and so many things to do, than Jablonec nad Nisou.
