Winter Wonderland in St Gallen

St Gallen brings with me the thought of St Gallerbratwurst, the beautiful cathedral and its wonderful streets and shops for walking in. In the Canton of St Gallen one can also find the small ski village of Braunwald. I have fond memories coming here in the summer when we could go for long rambling walks in the woods, say hello to cows and drink water from the mountain streams. Braunwald is accessed only by a mountain tram which you can reach from the train station at the bottom of the mountain. Often you can find a small market with locally made products. The honigschnapps is excellent. Come to Braunwald if you want to escape from the pretentiousness of St Moritz or Crans Montana.
