After spending a lovely day in Krabi, Thailand, I considered traveling to the historic mosque of Pattani, said to be the most beautiful in Thailand. But after thinking for a while I resolved to visit a wonderful island in Malaysia called Langkawi, where a Spanish friend had just been during two months and enjoyed it very much.
When I arrived to the pier of Satun I still had a couple of hours to visit around. I noticed many foreign tourists that were waiting for a ferry to Tarutao, a Thai island within a natural park that is supposed to be very nice and of which I had no idea before. But I had already made my choice and Langkawi would be my destination to spend a few days.
We, all the passengers, passed Thai Emigration and boarded the ferry Lada Dua. The navigation to Langkawi (already in Malaysia) took over one hour.
Apart from a few pictures that I made in the port of Satun I also show, as a proof of my visit, a passport stamp of my exit in Satun, Thailand (with the date 20th January 2013), because there is always somebody that doubts your journeys.
