The Dancing Fountain Dream
by Suzanne Mohamed - 4 years ago
One day while I was sitting in my room, surfing the internet, a news feed hit me and broke my heart. It said that Whitney Houston has passed away. I searched for all of her songs to listen to them, and while I was searching I found a video that was tapped in Dubai, it was a recording to the Dancing Fountain while the water is swaying on the rhythm of 'I will always love you'. I was really touched by the video and I dreamt of having the chance to go there and listen to this song while watching the famous Dancing Fountain. Anyway, months passed and I totally forgot about that dream. And I had the chance to visit Dubai in my mid-year vacation, without even thinking about the Dancing Fountain or anything related to my dream.
One night while I was having dinner at an Italian restaurant that had the view of Burj Khalifa and The Dancing Fountain, They played 'I will always love you'. I was stunned; I could not speak for a few minutes. I remembered my dream, my unspoken, momentarily dream.
So, the whole situation brought me to tears. Well, I know it may sound a bit cheesy, but at that very moment, I changed my perspective of life. I started to believe that no matter how small or big your dream is, no matter how many days, months or even years may pass by without them coming true, eventually, they will be real. Trust me on this.
