San Antonio (San Antonio Missions and the San Antonio Spurs)

Travelled to San Antonio during our Spring Break of 2017. Since we are big DUBS fans, we came here to watch our Golden State Warriors play the Spurs for 1st place in the NBA Western Conference (BIG WIN, 110-98) in the AT&T Center. On our three day stay we stayed at the Hilton Palacio del Rio right on the River Walk. Highly suggest staying at Hilton or the many other hotels on the River Walk for easy access. The River Walk is one of the most beautiful places to see and experience. You can take a cruise on the many boat tours on the river or just walk around this maze like setting that weaves in and around the downtown city center. There you can visit the Alamo and from there you can take VIVA missions route 40 that will take you from the Alamo to the San Antonio Missions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that includes Mission Concepcion, Mission San Jose and Mission San Juan. Mission Espada will be added to the route at a later date after the time of this writing. The Tower of the Americas is also worth visiting and see the beautiful view above the tower in the Flags Over Texas – Observation Deck. If you're in the mood for some Mexican culture, head over to Market Square and relish this three blocks of Cinco de Mayo vibes.
