[August 2016] Last summer I had the opportunity to visit Crespi d'Adda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site between the well known Italian cities of Bergamo and Milan and one of the best preserved company towns built in Europe during the 19th century. There is a tourist information center in the old village school with lots of information about the site, and you can wander free through its streets looking at the large factory, the workers houses, the church, the cemetery and the small palace where the owner of the factory lived. There is also an observation point where you can get a general view of the village.
