My first couchsurfing experience

by Panagiotis Alexopoulos - 5 years, 2 months ago

First time surfing a couch and I was super worried about what to do and how it'd be. Xenophobia is not something I have but this would be a new one for me as I'd live with a complete stranger, even for a day. I left my parents all the information I had about my host and left. When I got there anxiety was built up I rang the doorbell. Turns out Stelios was a pretty awesome guy. We got along very well and he gave me tips for the city. Where to eat or what to visit. Even gave an invitation to the university party that was taking place that night. Then, to my amazement, he gave me keys to the apartment. To sum up, all went scaringly well and we part ways like good friends. I wanted to share this for all the people who are afraid of such a new step. It's fun and worth it.
