Rusty eastern Paris

Changing money into local Forints surely makes you feel richer than you actually are and if museums and tourist stuff have international prices, going to the supermarket is definitely cheaper. Overall I would say that Budapest has quite a peculiar vibe. It's an enjoyable city with a terrific night-life and super cheap cocktails. It's a city where poor and rich people live close by and the rusty feeling you get when walking around is not exactly symbol either of poverty or of decadentism. It's a city where Jewish traditions, communism, are beautifully combined with a retro style which I actually have the feeling it has been the same for quite a while now due the subway noises and well, the unstable buildings.
