The nice cafes of Karditsa

by Harry Mitsidis - 4 years, 5 months ago

Karditsa could be translated as 'little heart' and it certainly occupies a strategic place in the centre of Greece. Hardly a tourist spot, though it is a springboard for the nearby Plastira lake and the mountains further north, and is only an hour or so from Meteora - yet the town is overshadowed by prettier Trikala, only 26 km away. Nevertheless, Karditsa does have nice cafes...and they may well be a reason to enjoy the town's vibrant beat.
