I stopped in Nashville for almost one day, until next morning. My goal was Chicago.I liked the city although I did not stay long enough to appreciate all its interesting places. I just walked in the downtown, and visited the Live Music Venue.
In the evening, looking for a place to sleep, I first asked in a hotel for curiosity, because I knew that I will not be able to afford its prices. It was called Renaissance. But the prices were astronomical, so I headed to the Salvation Army to sleep for free.
Before leaving the next day I had still time to enter several churches, the First Lutheran Church and the Christ Church Cathedral. Then I discovered a monument devoted to Captain John Gordon, who fought in the Pensacola War, helping the Spanish Governor of taht town (we, Spaniards, defeated the English in Pensacola, thus helping to the independence of USA), and also the Federal building Ester Kefauver, who was an American politician from Tennessee.
At about midday I left Nashville to Chicago, in a Greyhound bus.
